Moon and Earth

She lay there, silent as can be. Thin blades of grass snuggled against her skin yet pricked at her bare arms. However, she had not noticed the discomfort. Her mind had drifted elsewhere, presumably to the pale rock floating in outer space.
The Earths Moon had become the very symbol of the night. It’s marvelous beam of light swept across half the world. It was able to overcome the dark abyss that sheeted North and South East hemispheres and became a reliable nightlight.
Despite its good intentions, it weeps in its silence. The Moon had been great once, in its prime. But now, it simply observes Earth from afar. It’s muted cries unheard.
Now, for a change, the girls jade optics took notice of the dull meteor. Watching, studying, observing. She missed no detail. She had heard that they found traces of water on the moons surface today. With a sigh, she closed her eyes and let the gentle breeze graze over her lying form.
What if the Moon had been as beautiful as the Earth once? The girl pondered the thought with great intuitions. Maybe the Moon is a mere reflection of what is to happen to Earth in the future. The Moon now sat desolate and sullen. Nothing more than a shell of what it had been.
Gasping, the girl sat up from her pallet. Her own revelation made her insides churn in fear. The Moon was shadowing Earth, hoping its fate would not follow its own demise.
In years to come, Earth wouldn’t be recognizable. Its inhabitants gone. It wouldn’t even be identifiable among the other fallen planets and thus Earth would mirror the darkest side of the Moon.

Horror of our Love

Night had already bestowed itself upon England and the moon stood strongly in the dark to light the way for weary travelers. Besides the light breeze everything felt calm, but deep down, I knew I had crossed the line and unless my Master was feeling charitable, I was about to pay dearly for my slip up.
As I reached our meeting spot, I saw the man clad in black waiting patiently for my arrival. His demonic eyes stared hard while a simple frown was plastered to his porcelain features. Slightly, I prayed to a God I knew didn’t exist, took a deep breath, and stopped only a mere foot away from him.

I'm your servant
My immortal
Pale and perfect
Such unholy heaving
The statues close their eyes
The room is changing

“How was your meeting?” He asked in his normal tone of voice. However, I sensed his ferocity behind his glowing orbs. My doom was unavoidable.
“It was fine, thank you. Nothing has changed other than the army of Fallen Devils have began surveying the Society. Trying to find weak points in our barriers I suppose.” I held my stare long enough with him and broke my icy emeralds away for a moment to catch my own breath.
“I see, then I’m safe to assume they are at bay with us and the occupants of the mansion, correct?” I nodded, avoiding any visual contact at this time. “Yadda yadda…” he mumbled as his shook his head from side to side. “Is there any thing else I need to know?”

I wake in terror
Blackbirds screaming
Dark cathedrals spilling
Midnight on their alters

I shivered in the breeze, yet it wasn’t my skin that was cold rather my insides. With eyes down-casted to the earth below, he sensed my answer and I sensed pain to come.
“You smell of strawberry perfume and your face is even still flushed.” He grimaced more as he took my face in his gloved palm and preceded in examining further what was his. With no real intention, I scratched at a seal tattooed on the side of my neck. It seemed irritated with me as well.
“Look at me, Rumiko.” He stated with his voice picking up volume and the built up anger was beginning to show like a diamond in the mud. His hand thumbed my jaw line most likely out of frustration. Just as I was about to explain my predicament in more logical terms, I saw his free hand fly from the abyss. From instinctive reactions, I slapped away his hand and dodged. Several other blows struck my abdomen just as quick as the first one was released. With the momentum from the attacks, I was able to slide back out of his range and take a second to recover.

Moonlight walking
I smell your softness
Carnivorous and lusting

Even though I received my given second to regain my composer, it didn’t prepare me for the next. The raven haired man came from the black like a bullet and latched on to what I believed only was my gut. It wasn’t until I saw my lower rib bone be pulled from my side did I realize how far I had crossed the line that night.
To track you down among the pines
I want you stuffed into my mouth
Hold you down and tear you open
Live inside you
Oh, love I'd never hurt you

A bloodcurdling scream filled the darks eerie silence. I was disappointed to find out that it was infact my own scream of pain. My knees caved under the immense flare of pain that engulfed my body like fire in mere seconds. I fell to the dry ground below, clutching the gaping hole in my side where it once had been supported by a short rib. Wreathing in pain, I was able to catch sight of the man who stood above me, my chuck of flesh and marrow still snug in his hand.
“S-sebas…S-Sebastian!” The yell echoed in the outside and sounded forlorn and shallow. I barely could recognize it.

I cannot see
There's catastrophe
In everything I'm touching
As I sweat and crush you

I knew better than to ask for his help or his pity. That butler knew nothing of mercy. His heart was black, dead to the world and its inhabitants. Or at least, so it seemed.
“I’m s-s….sorry…” I whispered before I was sent into another convulsion in a pool of my own blood. I don’t think I had ever felt pain this much before, it was becoming unbearable.
“Unbelievable…” Sebastian tossed my piece of rib cage back to me, landing next to my body in the pool of blood that had formed. “I suppose, I can forgive you this one time.” He knelt beside me and laid his hand on my head, stroking his fingers through my bloodied locks.

The horror of our love
Never so much blood pulled through my veins
Ohhhhh
The horror of our love
Never so much blood

Ordinary

A dictionary was laid out in front of a disgruntled girl on the old desk she sat at. Its pages were yellow and dry from old age, but the knowledge that had been written on the inside was still new and refreshing. Especially to the teenage girl who was nose-deep in studying it. She sighed deeply and looked out the window as the morning light danced around the panes. Despite her age, she was a servant of the Darnell mansion and nothing more. She was born to carry out the will and orders of the mansions Master; she wasn’t to live a normal existence.
Unexpectedly, a week ago the Master had a change in heart, per say. He had requested that she attend a public high school that was only a few miles away. Taken aback by the Masters sudden interest in her, she had glanced away. Curiosity had danced around his attentive eyes and called her out on her nervous gestures, but no matter the excuse she came forth with the Master had cast it away without a second thought. His mind was set and there was no changing it.
A fresh breeze swept through the ajar window and flipped the pages of the dictionary. A bolded word caught her eyes long enough to draw her attention from her thoughts.
Ordinary. An Adjective. Usual or normal.
Just as she finished reading the entry the door abruptly threw itself open and scared her.
“Alyssa?” came the cunning voice of the Darnell’s butler, Strovich. He stood at the door with his gloved hands on his waist. “I apologize for startling you. I came to tell you that its time to leave.” Her eyes glared at the handsome man as he picked up her bag that lay on the love seat and headed out the door just as nonchalantly. With a glare still etched into her features she set out the door right behind him.
The morning light streamed across the front court yard, showing off all of its glory. Red petals floated around the yard in the crisp breeze, some even preceded to land in the sparkling water that flowed around the large fountain placed in the center of the estates front. Alyssa turned her eyes away from the peaceful sight and plopped into the passenger seat of the awaiting car. Cautiously, she kept her eyes from drifting back to the mansions front and it wasn’t until they were past the gates did she breathe a sigh of relief. She nudged Strovich’s arm as he focused on the road ahead of him.
“Yes?” His sly eyes swiveled toward her slumped figure, all the while staying on task. When an answer was expected, the young girl silenced her self. “Alyssa?” He waited patiently for an answer.
“I’ve…never been to a school before…and…I don’t know anyone…I-” She watched him shut the cars ignition switch off while her thoughts stopped coming from her mouth.
They were there already.
She snapped around to find the butler already opening the door for her. Amazing how swift he was on his feet. Alyssa stepped out of the vehicle and suddenly wished she had not. This isn’t what she had wanted; instead she would have loved to be back at the mansion doing the chores like she did every day. Now, she stood in front of a building three times the size of the Darnell’s mansion and it was swarming with kids of all shapes and sizes. With clammy hands, the frightened girl gripped onto Strovichs sleeve cuff, silently pleading him to take her somewhere else.
“You’ll be okay. Here-” The tall man handed her a glossy notebook with a smiley face scrawled on the top of it. “The Master told me to give this to you.” Alyssa’s frown twitched several times before being replaced with a grim smile. “I wish you luck.” Her hands unclenched themselves from his sleeve and she watched the butler leave. A hollow feeling overcame her being but she let herself walk into the school she would be at for the next eight hours.
Being optimistic was a must. She needed to stay focus but when her baby blues laid sight on several groups lingering around the corners, she began to feel uneasy. Soon the suspicions proved true when a package was exchanged between a few of the students.
She gasped. What was this place? How could this be a safe, learning environment? Azul orbs darted left to right all down the hallway, noticing the same pattern everywhere she looked. Drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, even knives were being flashed around.
The bell boomed out into the hallway and the school yard. At least some luck had bestowed upon her and she ran to her first class; luckily she had studied the map of the school and was able to locate room 803 with ease. Nobody else was there just yet so the wary girl took a seat in the back and quietly waited for the last bell.
Multicolored eyes stared in her direction as some other teenagers decided to saunter in. But they weren’t just stares, but stares that were deep, cold, and sent shivers up ones spine. They only reflected bitterness and hatred, something Alyssa had never experienced. Hunkering down in her seat, she tried her best to avoid them and kept her own stare fixed on the wooden desk in the front of classroom. Regretting her existence came to play her mind as she mauled over her lonely thoughts.
Finally, the second bell rang and a teacher appeared in front of the small crowd of students. Though one couldn’t tell, the girl sighed in relief. As long as she was in the presence of an adult she felt safe. The portly man began his lecture about a half hour into his class time, but nobody paid him a bit of attention. Even she found him boring and uncaring. Instead, she decided to let her curious eyes of their leash for a few moments to take in the different faces that cluttered the room.
The sweeping motion broke off when the new students’ eyes caught sight of a young man who sat across the room. He looked out of place. Maybe it was because he was clean cut and dressed well. Or maybe, it was because he was staring out the dusty window he settled next to. His velvet soft eyes were fixed on the nomadic clouds that waft through the reposed sky. He just seemed so, ordinary in such a chaotic setting.
Thoughts became so scrambled in her head that she hadn’t even noticed that he had abandoned his vast sky gazing and turned in her direction. Upon realizing he had caught her orbs staring at him, she whipped her eyes back around to where the teacher was standing. With a flustered face, she tried to act like she was taking notes and nothing more. However, if the cover up worked or not was not obviously shown.
Bbbbblllllrrrriiiinnnngggg
The sudden shrill of the bell woke Alyssa from her stale seat and she rushed to the next class of the day. She refrained herself from taking in any glances and worked her way around the hall standees. Room 756 was close and it was easy to locate. Same with the class after that and the next also.
But something about this school picked at her. Everywhere she went, everything was the same. The teachers were boring and uncaring. The students were unforgiving and paid no mind to the adults. To all of them this was normal, routine, and orderly. But no matter what, this jungle was far from ordinary. Soon, her thoughts drifted back to the boy from first hour.
A jolt from the final bell stopped her from continuing her brainwork on the mysterious boy. A sigh escaped her once more as she made her way out of the class. Today was over, or so she thought. She still had to find her way out this forsaken place. The one way she had forgotten to plan out.
A left turn. A right turn. Another left turn. “Ugh…I have to find the entrance soon. Strovich will be waiting and he gets impatient quickly with me.” Another defeated sigh. The girl began into a jog but as her heart beat harder with every wrong turn she soon was sprinting.
Without a moments noticed, she crashed into something much bigger than her. As a result, she collided with the ground but hurried to see what had stood before her.
“Y-you’re the girl from my first hour?” The same girl stared up and him in wonder, taking in his image. Quickly, he shook his head and offered his hand, in which she greatly accepted. Once on her feet she bowed her head to the older boy.
“Sorry! I’m sorry…for running into you.” A blush crossed her face when he pulled her upward.
“No, I should apologize for being rude and not watching where I was wondering around. By the way, I’m Alec.” He dipped his head for a moment and met her eyes on the way up. “And you are?”
“I’m sorry! I’m Alyssa. It’s nice to meet you!” She flushed again and he chuckled. Surprised at his reaction, the servant glanced away, almost in embarrassment.
“It’s alright. Now, what exactly were you doing running so fast?” His sweet smile seemed to consume her thoughts but she was able to manage to spew out a sentence.
“Well, I was lost…I can’t seem to find the entrance of the school…” She trailed off, embarrassed for simply being ignorant.
“That’s right, since you’re new; I bet this is like a maze for you. I’ll show you the way out; you must have someone waiting for you.” He began to turn and walk away while he motioned for her to follow. Just like an order, the girl fell into step behind him. Only, he slowed his pace to have her walk beside him.
“It’s strange…” He turned his dark eyes to hers. “To see someone else that seems so out of place in this school.” The statement momentarily stunned her. He seemed to steal the words right from her dry mouth. After a few seconds, she laughed herself. He joined in with his smooth chuckle.

It seemed to go on forever, that walk. Their laughter filled the empty hallways and yet it seemed so strange that they could laugh in such a grim environment. When they had finally found the exist, Alyssa spotted the butlers car. Alec walked her to the waiting vehicle, still laughing.
“I look forward to finally having a normal day tomorrow.” he said with a wink. Another smile and laugh erupted from them and they parted ways.
“How was your day?” asked Strovich as she climbed into the passenger seat. She glanced over to him with a large grin plastered to her face. He took the silent answer and continued on. “So, who was that boy just now?” Alyssa only chuckled as his eyes danced with wonder.
“He’s just an ordinary boy living in an unordinary world.”

.Reversible.

“W-what do we do?!” asked a young girl in a short, chilly breath. She waited for her partners reply, but when one didn’t come; her stomach began to churn in terror.
Why won’t you answer?
“Sensei!!” she literally shouted at the other girl who was only inches away. Her brown eyes filled to the brim with putrefied tears as she watched her teachers’ daunt expression.
“Sorry! I-I don’t know…” was all the older teen could sputter out before turning away again. Her student didn’t know how to respond. She was scared, her teacher always new what to do; she always was able to pull them out of the worst situations imaginable. It was clear that this time…it would be different.
“Quick! This way!” finally her mentor spoke up and pushed away the deadly silence that had taken over the time between them. Promptly she followed her down a side street that soon forced them out into their schools open courtyard.
“They’re not here…” They youngest gazed around their surroundings heaving deep breaths as quietly as she could. Everything there looked… untouched, but how? Everything else had already been destroyed.
Suddenly, the other growled loudly. “There.” she said in a menacing snarl while un-holstering her infamous revolver, Ketsueki. Her disciple stared at her with new found confidence emitting from her blue crystals. Her sensei was back in action and she needed to be there to back her up.
With weapons drawn and stances held tight the two watched as a glowing white creature moved along the shadows near the north side dorms. Its golden eyes watched back and soon it erupted into a skirling cry that echoed in the yard. Its unwavering gaze continued as it marched toward them, revealing its own weapons of choice; the fiends’ fangs were bared and its serrated fingernails were exposed.
Its mission was clear. It was out to kill them.
The monsters golden eyes narrowed and it seemed ready to engage in warfare, but when it hesitated it alarmed the two women.
“I think its waiting for something. A cue maybe…” her mentor trailed off into the nights murky abyss, her gun still at her side. Unexpectedly, the creature began into a laughing fit, almost like it had already claimed the battle as a victory. It wasn’t until the glare of more golden hues began to appear behind the being did either realize why it had burst into laughter.
There were hundreds. Too many to count in a single glance and all were hungry for blood. The first fiend finally composed itself enough to cease its giggle fit and slowly its mouth curled into a smirk as it stared the two humans down with its impenetrable gaze.
Bang
A bullet escaped from the teachers’ revolver and embedded itself into the front creature’s forehead, permanently wiping the smile from its hollow face. She frowned in disgust. There were more than just this one to worry about now and her rash strike caused the brigade to wail in anger. Their monstrous figures began to emerge from the shadows as their howls and shrieks seemed to become more and more boisterous.
“Keep alert. Keep southwest and do not- DO NOT wonder more than a few yards away from me.” said the educator in a booming voice. She didn’t dare take her eyes away from her targets as they began to advance toward them in a sickening pace. “They will want to separate us so we’ll be easier to kill. Keep your head up and shoot the first ones in the rows. Don’t let them get any closer than ten yards!” As she gave her orders, she raised her gun yet again and began to empty round after round into the beasts that persistent to stand before them. The bodies were dropping like flies now.
Her student didn’t hesitate and followed the directions without a second thought. She was trained this way- to do as told and to ask questions later. She had improved so much under her teachers lessons and grown into an outstanding markswoman and even a better person. She owed everything to her.
Her thoughts were abruptly interrupted with a devastating yowl. Eyes darted from side to side trying to locate the source of the sorrow moan. Finally, when she turned to confront her advisor about the noise she nearly screamed herself. The oldest girl was kneeled on the ground with one hand holding a deep gouge on her midsection while she continued to shoot with her free hand.
“Sensei!” crystal blue eyes were engulfed in fear, she ran to her side and placed a hand on her shoulder. The gesture was brushed off, she didn’t seem to notice as she reached for another round in her jacket. After a few seconds of rummaging through the bullet pouch, she stopped.
“Sen…sei?” Like an owl she snapped her head up at the younger girl. Pain was held in her eyes but her pride dismissed the actually sensation.
“Rounds? Do you have anymore?” she managed to whisper over the cries of the hellions that were coming closer and closer to the duo. In a frantic manor, the student felt for more ammunition and was able to come up with only one roll.
“I…I have one left! Take it, I just refilled.” She nodded and took the box and emptied it into her revolver. On unstable legs, she stood and glanced around at the many that were still left.
“Retreat.”
Her disciples eyes widen but she only nodded in reply. As graceful as they could, they fled the scene. They needed to get some where safe and quickly. The monsters weren’t done with them and would stop at nothing to tear their hungry jowls into their flesh. With swift feet they changed course and rushed into a moist alleyway between the southeast and east buildings.
It looked as if they were going to make it to safety, except there was a problem in their fleeting escape, a dead end to be precise. This was a fatal mistake. Quickly, they turned to face the gluttons that had already gathered to block their only chance out.
Then, they stopped. They stood where they were and did not advance any farther. There didn’t seem to be a reason why until a shadow arose behind them. They tore their eyes away to face what lay behind them only to come across a pale girl with long silver hair. She looked rather normal non-the-less, not like the other beasts.
What came next was shocking. She drew a small caliber gun and fired it before either the student or teacher could react. The bullet tore through the young apprentices’ chest cavity and exited out the back. It pierced her heart but didn’t kill her immediately. She caved to the wet, soggy, ground, her eyes were still ajar.
“Sen…sei…” was all she managed to say before falling into nothingness.

It had been three months since that happened. Twelve long, antagonizing, weeks in complete solitary confinement. I had promised that girl her safety and I failed to hold to my own words. Still, after so long, I couldn’t shake those haunting last moments from my minds eye. I had the same nightmares every night and with nobody left to talk to, I felt more and more like I was going insane.
That night I had escaped with my life, but that was it. Even with the severity of my wounds I had managed to slip away unnoticed. I stumbled to the schools auditorium to check on the rest of the schools students and the staff only to find them all slaughtered. The image was devastating. I couldn’t believe it, but it was true.
Now, I sat on an old couch, that I managed to scavenge from a dorm room, inside the principals old office. It was bigger than a dorm room and it even had a small kitchen. What the best part about it was its unseen iron walls that were the only things that kept the creatures at bay. However, it did nothing for my peace of mind. These demons were so close to taking over the world. I was sure that only a cup full of people were left alive in the world by now and I’m sure most were far, far away from my position.
This was like a nightmare. A terrifying, exhausting, nightmare, except I couldn’t wake up from it. I shook myself out of my thoughts and turned on the tv and popped in an old tape of Scooby-doo that I found lying around. I had watched it a million times, but it was the only thing I could possible do at the moment since the sun would be soon disappearing under the horizon line.
“Rits’ another mran in a rask?”
“No…not this time Scooby…This time its for real…” I mumbled at the tv. Moaning, I laid my head back and let out a deep sigh. Everything was so messed up now. “I wish I could just…go back in time.” I whispered.
“Is that truly what you wish?” I snapped my eyes open and hastily looked around to find the owner of the voice. My eyes stopped when they came across a familiar figure perched on my television set. Shocked by the intruders presence, I shook my head and went for my gun that was lying on the table. Only… it was no longer there. Cautiously, I began to turn around to the being that was now standing only a few feet away, twirling my gun.
At that moment, I remembered where I had seen this girl before. She was the one- the one who took away my partners life. Would she take mine now as well?
“How did you get in here?” I snarled under my breath as she nonchalantly gazed around my living quarters. It was strange talking to this creature. It almost felt like I was talking to myself.
“You want everything to go back to the way it was? Before we came here? Right?” Her golden hues finally found their way to my own browns. “You wish to see that other girl again? Your friends? Your family? Right?” she continued her one worded questions with no flicker of emotion in her gaunt features just as her fangs glinted in the dim light of the tv.
“Does it matter? Does it matter what I want anymore?” I stopped her before she could say anymore. I had questions of my own and I would not let them go unanswered. Slowly, her eyes looked away and she began walking a small circle around me. She didn’t look at me when she began to speak once again.
“You’re very important. You’re the last human left on Earth. My first generation minions got out of hand and now the whole world is being over run by mutants of my own kind.” She frowned and glanced at my frozen body.
“So, you’re saying you’re the leader of all these monsters?!” I lost control over the volume of my voice now and my hate toward this girl was growing more and more; if that’s even possible. There was a silence and then she sighed.
“Yes. But they’ve covered many regions and I can’t control them all. And I’m the only one they’ll listen to. You were lucky though. I stopped them from killing you. You should be thankful to me.” Upon turning to face me, I spit at her. With ease she dodge the flying saliva.
“Why should I be thankful to you!? You killed my student! Why didn’t you spare her if you were going to spare me?!” I yelled as loud as I could, all my anger was spilling out and I wasn’t planning on stopping.
“Because you’re not a normal human!” Her calm demeanor vanished and she stared at me hard. “You’ve freed souls. Each time you killed one of my minions, you freed the hundreds of souls they had consumed. Hundreds of pure innocent souls that were almost un able to ascend to heaven. I could never have done it. My hands are too dirty to free such pure things. For that…I thank you.” She stopped her pacing and knelt before me. I ceased breathing for a moment and looked on in disbelief.
“Is…Is this what you came here to do? Apologize for the worlds destruction and thank me for knocking off a few of your creations?” I asked with suspicion held tight in my voice. She stood and nodded solemnly. “Then why?…Why my understudy?”
“It was necessary…“ I couldn’t help but feel insane once again.
“I want to offer a deal. I can change everything. Everything back to the point where I made the mistake of creating these ones. I’ve learned my lesson. If you accept this deal, you will have to pay with your life though. I knew this would happen and I wanted to spare your partner her life. One life was enough to take, so why take away two lives when I could just take the one?” I stared hard. My eyes felt like they were burning and I finally tore my orbs away.
“So, you’re saying that you can bring everyone back to life by sacrificing me? You killed her so she could have the second chance?” My mumbles sounded so absurd out loud and I chuckled at myself. “If you take my life…and everyone is brought back to life…will it be like I never existed?” The silver haired girl shook her head.
“No, you will live just as you would without the evasion of my species up until the point, if you decide, I sacrifice your soul and being.” The creature stared at me blankly. Biting my bottom lip, I thought of everything I had gone through. If I didn’t accept this deal, I would die a lone death. The worst imaginable. Then again, if she was telling the truth, I would die but time would be reversed and I still would be able to live a happy life, even if only for a short while. I made my decision.
“I’ll accept.” my tone was strong and confident. This was worth the risk. The girl walked toward me, approaching my figure closely.
“You trust me?” asked the creature slowly. My eyes darted away.
“No. But either way. I’m going to die. You get sick of fighting for your own life after a while.”
The child took her hand and placed it on my forehead. As I let my eyes close shut.
“This will hurt…”

I never thought my nightmare would end. I guess I was wrong. Not everything is meant to happen but I never thought such a tragedy could be reversible.

/Give it Back/

Rumiko strolled down an empty hallway carelessly. Dim lights lit the pathway that seemed to continue to go on and on; feebly to nowhere. Her eyes were cast downward, her face blank and unalert. Too many thoughts rushed around her mind trying to find the conclusion to her problems.
She needed the answers to the question from the night before.
Instead of them being answered, they only crashed into the side of her skull, like a child running smack-dab into a freshly cleaned window.
Her hand caressed her forehead, wishing she could physical push all of her thoughts out of her mind.

The thoughts did not stop. They would never stop. And there was nothing she could ever do about that.

The thoughts continued to plaque her. She would never see her 'daughter' again. At least, not as she had been only three months before. Sweet, innocent, and ignorant.

But...it wasn't only her daughter she wished so much to see once again-but her current significant other. The one she had hidden her growing feelings from since they arose.
She never showed them.
She never told him.

And finally, when she did sum up the courage to speak up and basically serve what was left of her heart on a golden platter to him-he was gone.

"I have to go, its my duty." he had said to her. On impulse, she lunged and caught hold of his midsection. And in seconds she uncapped her bottle of feelings. Spilling her heart out on a sinking ship.

For those few seconds of run on sentences, he was thankful. He finally understood. Never-the-less, he could not stay. But-he didn't want to forget.
"I'll come back...after everything is done...I promise." Her hues were unsteady and seemed to not believe his words.
"May...I take your collar? For a temporary keepsake...and...to back my promise?"
She was hesitant. Her simple, black collar meant a lot to her and simply handing it over...well, she would have never had thought of such a thing.

She wanted that promise to exist though and with that simple yearning; she handed over the dark piece of fabric. His smirk satisfied her.

Having something wrapped around his neck did not appease him and instead slipped it around his slender wrist. His eyes caught hers for the first time since he had told her of his departure.
At that moment, something clicked. He leaned forward, his lips brushed hers at first, then finally met gingerly. His lips were almost as icy as his eyes.
The act had not only surprised her, but himself as well. It seemed like hours before he found enough eternal strength to pull away.
"Gomen Nasai..." Was all he managed to whisper before he turned and dashed off out of sight. Lost, hazel orbs only stared after someone who was no longer there. Finally, she regained her composer and locked herself away into her room; tenderly taking care of her bloody nose.

It had been too long since Rumiko had heard his voice. In rage, desperation, and defeat, she punched the wall next her. Her hand throbbed and for a moment, she wished that was the only pain she felt. Rumi's knees felt weak but instead of giving in she marched to her room's door. Upon pulling out her keys, she thought she had heard a noise. Normally, she would have checked around to make sure nothing was there, but this one time she let it slide.
Click!
Her key slipped into the lock silently but before she could announce herself home-free something bigger and heavier slammed her into the shut door.
"Ooofff!....Get off of-!" Rumi eye's caught her assailant icy orbs and made her stop mid-sentence. The man grabbed her tight with a pleased look plastered to his fine features.
"Still feisty I see." He mused as he let go of her cold body. Her eyes couldn't honestly believe what they were seeing right now-could they?
"A-aidou?..." The whisper escaped almost silently. In return, he shrugged and opened his arms.
"Of course...What's wrong?" The happiness fled from his soft voice and was replaced with worry as he noticed the water brimming at the girls’ eyes.
She charged him, leaping into his opened arms.
"Agh!" He yelled before she flung him to the ground below. Rumiko's eyes met his own and for a second, he felt scared.
"I want my fucking collar back you ass!" was the only words she managed to bellow before burying her face into his chest.
